I have been knitting for 60+ years and love it. I teach knitting in my home. I especially love teaching children.

I'm a newbie at quilting. I've been sewing for many many years, but began quilting when I retired more than 10 years ago. I love making quilted wall hangings and table toppers. It's only been about 10+ years, but I've made a whole lot of gifts etc. I sometimes paint on fabric and then quilt around the painting. I even bead some of my work. I've also painted on wood and canvas and even tiles.

When I retired, my husband bought me a new sewing machine and now I like to machine embroider as well. So many things I want to do and so little time. But I enjoy everything so much I push myself to do them. All of us that enjoy creativity push to do them. Some of us stay awake with ideas running through our heads. Some of us work through the night. And even if we push as hard as we do, we love every minute of it. I'm so proud when I finish an item and even prouder when I give something as a gift or sell something. I enjoy it when I make someone happy.

The holiday gifts are a lot of work for me because I make most of my gifts. It's very time consuming so I usually start my gifts in summer to be ready for the Christmas holidays.
I've been hooked on creativity for many years. My family all the way back to my grandparents were all very creative and even though I took many art courses in college, I feel my God given talents start with my family.
